Precision Inspection Services, L.L.C. is a real estate inspection company that specializes in home inspections. Jay Chambless is the President / Operator of the company. Jay has over 15 years experience in the field, spending 10 years as a construction inspector for an engineering firm and over 5 years as a construction project manager. Jay has also successfully completed a nationally accredited, 100 hour home inspection course from Allied Real Estate School.

At Precision Inspection Services, L.L.C. we believe the client comes first. Why hire an inspector:

With all of the added-on costs associated with mortgage loans these days, the last thing you need is another expense added by having an inspection, right? After all, the lender is only requiring an appraisal and termite inspection. If having an inspection were that important, wouldn’t they mandate it. Besides, I have walked through the property and I don’t see any problems.

Real estate inspectors are trained to look for problems that the average person will never see. Many people who buy real estate are either doing so for the first time or are unfamiliar with the process. They basically are going on the direction of their mortgage company. Some mortgage companies require inspections, while others do not. The truth of the matter is, an inspection is just as important as an appraisal or termite letter. Don’t take anyone’s word that the property you are buying is in adequate condition. Make sure by hiring a certified home inspector. When choosing a home inspector be sure to ask them for references and proof of certification. Any inspector worth hiring will readily provide this information. If not, chances are you need to find someone else.
